He's so polite and humble.
One of the main reasons why I adore Kenshin is that he's so humble despite
the fact that he's one of the best swordsmen around. He tries not to
attract attention to himself and spends more time being goofy than showing
off. I mean, how can a guy who refers to himself as "sessha" and adds
"de gozaru" to the end of every single phrase not be endearing!
*grins*
The man can COOK! And clean! And he does laundry!
I have respect for anyone who can whip up gourmet meals. And after
living with Hiko Seijuro as a child, I bet Kenshin's learned some wonderful
recipes. I mean, Hiko doesn't look like the type to cook and the man
definintely doesn't live off fruits and vegetables (look at those huge muscles!).
And the fact that Kenshin is the only guy in the series who is willing
to help out and do chores is awesome! I mean, I myself hate doing laundry
and cleaning (cooking I don't have quite as much of a dislike for) so I would
love it if a man came along and offered to do my laundry till everything
was sparkly white.
The famous battousai battle cry.
Nobody can scream like Kenshin does. I mean, have you tried to imitate
the man's battle cry? It's unique! I don't know why I find it
cool, but I do. Never did say I was reasonable, did I?
His protective tendencies.
I love how Kenshin always tries to protect Kaoru. Granted, I think
the girl could probably take care of herself just as well, but I find it
sweet how he always worries about her. It shows that he thinks of her
all the time! And he's willing to let Kaoru have her way just to make
her happy. *sighs happily* As if you'd be able to find a real
guy like that walking around in the 21st century! Plus he's great with
kids as well!
The tragic past.
Another reason why I like Kenshin is because he's one of those characters
you can't help but root and cheer for all the way. I mean, after such
a traumatizing childhood, the man deserves every bit of happiness he can
get. If only those annoying villains would leave our poor rurouni in
peace so that he could finally settle down. The man is so guilt-ridden,
how can you NOT feel for him? ^_^
The Oro!
Last but not least, it's the "Oro!" How can you not like Kenshin when
he's being his goofy self. He's so hilarious when he's being goofy
and acting silly. It's nice to see the lighter side of him despite
all his tragic history, and it does add humor to the RK series. I love
guys with a sense of humor, and Kenshin definitely has that and more!
