They're so underrated!

I mean, there are so many shrines and fanfics dedicated to the love between Kenshin/Kaoru and Aoshi/Misao, so it seems like Sano and Megumi just got left behind. It's hard to find anything on the web dedicated to this couple (Just try searching for any pictures of the two of them together...they're impossible to find!). So I thought I'd jump in and add to the small number of sites dedicated to this neglected pair.

They're not boring.

Other relationships in RK seem set in stone. I mean, you don't doubt whether Kenshin and Kaoru love each other (duh, they get together in the manga) and it's obvious from episode 89 that Aoshi cares for Misao (whether or not he'll say anything is another matter though). With Sanosuke and Megumi, you're never really sure how they feel. Now I love K&K and have nothing against the A&M pairing. But the interaction between Sano and Megumi is often a lot more entertaining. They're always arguing and teasing each other, but despite the antagonism you can definitely see that they at least care for each other (she patches up his hand, he tries to save her from Kanryuu, etc).

Sano needs someone to keep him out of trouble.

Okay, I know Sanosuke wouldn't be himself if he weren't getting into brawls all the time, but Megumi would balance his hot-headedness with her practicality. She'd keep from doing some really stupid things ^_~ and even if he didn't listen, she'd be there to patch him up afterwards. I know you Sano fans out there are thinking that you love him the way he is, but I just think Megumi would be able to bring out his more responsible and serious side. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean he has to ditch his bad-ass ways!

Megumi needs someone to drive away her loneliness.

Oh I know she seems all confident and has everything together, but underneath I think Megumi's probably lonely. After all, she's far away from home and has had a miserable experience with that psycho bastard Kanryuu. Sure, the Kamiya dojo is her home and everyone there is like family, but I don't really see her actually opening up to anyone. Sano would be great for her because they'd have fun together! And he's the only one I can actually see her bonding with, but that's just my opinion.
